United States Senator Tom Harkin has introduced: "THE HARKIN DOMESTIC CHILD LABOR BILL"
(ALSO KNOWN AS THE CHILDREN'S ACT FOR RESPONSIBLE EMPLOYMENT-THE CARE ACT OF 2001)
This bill would help end child labor. This act has failed to pass repeatedly in congress.
You can help get it through by writing your U.S. Congressional Representatives and U.S. Senators.
Take a few minutes to look over the bill, and try to figure out what the fuss is all about yourself.
Use the Yellow Pages and write or phone local carpet importers and outlets asking their policy on selling goods made by child labor.
