SEPTEMBER 2002 Campaign UPDATE

Two student campaign leaders of "The School for Iqbal" campaign help spread the word about forced, abusive child labor. Two more "School for Iqbal" campaign leaders educate a National Consumers' League Convention audience about ways youth can use "consumer power" to help end child labor by buying only child-labor-free items. The students are Alicia and Elizabeth. (Orlando, Florida)





The "School for Iqbal" campaign leaders past and present reunite with tennis champion VENUS WILLIAMS at the 2001 Reebok Human Rights Awards ceremonies in Boston, MA.

Venus Williams and Academy Award winner SUSAN SARANDON presented the Reebok International Youth-in-Action Human Rights Award to the "School for Iqbal" kids' campaign in 1995 for keeping Iqbal's dream of freedom and education for all children alive and for establishing "A School for Iqbal" in Pakistan. That school is alive and growing thanks to big hearted people from many nations and students in all 50 U.S. states.
